Injured horses take a special level of care. Dragonfly Farms offers
the thorough, professional attention that an equine athlete requires
to make the best recuperation possible.
Dr. Burke is happy to work closely with your veterinarian and the
individualized return to
work program prescribed for your horse.
We are skilled at performing bandage changes, medication administration,
wound care and following precise return to work programs. We have facilities for complete stall rest, hand walking, small paddock turnout, supportive wrapping
and long term lay-ups.
Horses are retired for a number of different reasons. Whether retirement
is due to age, lameness or a change in owner goals, locating a quality
retirement facility is an important task.
At Dragonfly Farms we understand how important your horse is and
that you want the best for them in their retirement. Our full service
facility offers both field and full board with regular grooming, blanketing in the winter, individualized nutrition plans, medication administration as well as holding for the vet and
farrier. Your horse will be cared for as if they were our own.
Each boarding arrangement is custom designed to fit the needs of the horse.
Please contact us to discuss an individual plan for your horse.
